CMCHAs we reflect on the enduring impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and work, the Community Music Center of Houston (CMCH) is proud to present its 42nd Annual Musical Tribute in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year's celebration promises to be a powerful and moving experience, bringing together music, oratory, and history to amplify Dr. King's legacy and affirm our ongoing fight for social justice and equality.

A Tribute to Dr. King's Legacy
The CMCH's 42nd Annual Musical Tribute is a testament to the enduring power of Dr. King's message, which continues to inspire us today. The event will feature the Scott Joplin Chamber Orchestra (SJCO), guest vocalists, choir, and spoken word, performing orchestral works, spirituals, contemporary Black classics, and dramatic oratory. This free, family-friendly annual tribute is a celebration of Dr. King's life and work, and a reminder of our ongoing commitment to social justice and equality.

Two Performances Across Houston
The 42nd Annual Musical Tribute will take place in two performances across Houston: on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Christ Church Cathedral, and on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at St. Philip Presbyterian Church. Both concerts are free and open to the public, with donations accepted.
